She and her husband, John, co-founded Messenger International in 1990, a global ministry committed to equipping believers with bold, biblical truth. Through her books, teaching, and ministry, Lisa has encouraged women around the world to live with courage, strength, and conviction.

Hey, I'm Kayla Barlow!
I’m the girl behind Worthy, a dream that started with a nudge from Jesus and a deep desire to remind women everywhere that they are so worthy... not because of what they’ve done, but because of who He is. I wear my heart on my sleeve (sometimes literally), and I’m all about cheering on Worthy Girls as they step into their true identity as daughters of the King. I have created online Bible studies, host joy-filled in-person events like the Worthy Conference, and do my best to make space for women to encounter Jesus in real and powerful ways. When I’m not working on all things Worthy, you’ll find me serving as Executive Pastor at Realove Church in Seymour, Missouri, right alongside my husband and best friend, Johnathon James Barlow (he’s the Lead Pastor and I hate to admit this but likely the funnier one between us). We’ve got three amazing kiddos—Ariah, Judah, and Isaiah—who keep our days loud, wild, and full of love. Our family is on mission to love Jesus big and see the lost become found. And me?
